The You Tube Sensation

Yes this video is hilarious. It had me and my mom laughing so hard the other night we were crying even my step dad thought it was funny. I got my x ray done on my foot yesterday but I still haven't heard back yet so I'm hoping I will today. Sorry but I just learned how to put videos on so except some videos until I get tired of showing them!

The Flip-Flop

So on Thursday I managed to trip and mess my foot up pretty bad. I am going to the doctors at 4:00 to see what really happened I think I just might have bruised it. I actually wasn't in heels but in the immortal flip flops. I had to post this video because I found it very funny and relating to my topic. You really would think I was wearing heels not flat bottom don't normally cause tripping flip flops.So anyway hopefully I will be better soon.

Coco Chanel

So I watched the Coco Chanel movie for lifetime and I thought it was pretty good and I learned a lot. I had never really looked into her life before so I hope the movie was right in the facts department. The back to school party for my mom's moms group was good we had 16 adults and 25 kids in our townhouse funny thought isn't it. Well I hope everyone liked the movie and if you didn't see it then I hope you will watch it I am sure it will air for the next couple weeks. Also I made those cupcakes I said I would make for the party on a couple posts ago and they turned out pretty good.

Creative With Cupcakes

So while looking for some "Back to School" cupcake ideas for our back to school party on Friday for my mom's moms group if that makes sense, we are going to try and attempt to make the ones in the first picture. While searching for more ideas I came upon the ones in all the other pictures. They are gorgeous aren't they way.... to pretty to eat. So thats that.

Fashion Week...Relaxing?

So according to the "International Herald Tribune" Fashion Week's message has been focused around well relaxing, with loose beachy vibes drawing inspiration from far away places. The reasoning for the relaxing, "tropical prints combined with an easy slouch to evoke less stressful times." "When the economy is so bad and with the horrible things happening all around the world, one gets inspired to create a certain kind of beauty," as designer Narciso Rodriguez told The Associated Press before the shows began. He also promised an "anti-stress" collection later in the week. "When the economy slumps, some designers turn to bright colors and go beyond basics to lure customers into stores." To me this does make some sense. But as the average 15 minute fashion show for a top name designer ranges in the high hundred thousands and well into the millions also the thousands of dollars for on beach inspired dress, the beachy just want to relax vibes our obviously not appointed at the middle or even lower upper class people but the first rowers who can afford the new collection without a blink of an eye. I do see the shows and think wow that's a great idea but do the first rowers really feel the economy's decline, I am sure some do but not enough to stop them from drinking $1,000 champagne while most people don't make that much money in two weeks while people in most countries won't make that in two years. Sorry for the ramble, I actually did enjoy most of the collections yesterday that I have seen pictures of but i guess I just feel like how they say that they inspired a hundred thousand dollar outfit based on uplifting people from the economy failing.

So New York Fashion week is about to start and in honor of the event I have decided to do a little post on the history of Fashion Week.

Brief History:

"The first New York Fashion Week, then called Press Week, was the world's first organized fashion week. Held in 1943, the event was designed to attract attention away from French fashion during World War 2 , when fashion industry insiders were unable to travel to Paris to see French fashion shows. Fashion publicist Eleanor Lamber organized an event she called "Press Week" to showcase American designers for fashion journislists, who had previously neglected their innovations. (Buyers were not admitted to the shows and instead had to visit designers' showrooms.) Press Week was a success, and fashion magazines like Vogue, which were normally filled with French designs, increasingly featured American fashion."
